TONI&GUY is a multi-award winning hairdressing brand with more than 50 years of experience in education, superior client service and haircare expertise. With more than 475 salons across 48 countries, the story of TONI&GUY started back in 1963 when co-founder Toni Mascolo and his brother Guy launched their business with a single salon in Clapham, London.

TONI&GUY’s story

The 1960’s: Brothers Mascolo followed their dad’s footsteps and pursued a career in hairdressing. They ran their business together and worked on advertising their “Italian style”. The 1960’s was a time of extreme change in youth culture and TONI&GUY offered a unisex service in contrast to the traditional culture of salons and barbershops.

The 1970’s: Now that they expanded their business and opened 3 salons, their grand opening was in London. They weren’t expecting that their hairdressing place would become, in spite of financial problems, a destination salon.

The 1980’s: The 1980’s witnessed the creation of the TGI brand along with other haircare products designed to reproduce the 1980’s trendy looks. The second major event was the launching of their academy as well as earning hairdressing titles and awards.

The 1990’s: TONI&GUY expanded their salons and went international. Their academy expanded too with the aim of spreading their philosophy to new learners. Sasha Mascolo-Tarbuck joined Toni’s team and launched along with her brother “the essensuals” line.

The 2000’s: TONI&GUY became the official sponsor of London Fashion Week, and launched the label m. professional haircare range, an in-salon digital network (the first of its kind in the UK) and achieved both Superbrand and Coolbrand status (two of the most significant accolades to date in the hairstyling industry).

The 2010’s: TONI&GUY cemented its fashion credentials as the partnership with the British Fashion Council and joined them for the Vogue Fashion Fund along with Key British design talents. Label.m became an official sponsor for the British Fashion award, more branches were launched in North America. TONI&GUY kept dominating the hairdressing industry with TONI&GUY.TV, the digital magazine, the TONI&GUY mobile application, online shop, free in-salon, Wi-Fi and educational downloads.
