Celebrate Kuwait National & Liberation Days In Style

The Kuwait National and Liberation Days are upon us, and that means you’re in danger of having too much fun. What? You’ve run out of things to do, you say? No-no-no that won’t do, not at all, not even a little bit. We won’t allow it. We’re here to prove there’s plenty to get up to this National and Liberation Day, and we’ve laid it all out for you here, so read ahead and see what we’ve put together for you to sink your teeth into.

The Kuwait National & Liberation days are an opportunity to spend a little more time with friends and family, cruise the Gulf road with all your fellow celebrators, and maybe even take a day or two to head outside the city to center yourself in the desert, under clear skies and cool temperatures, surrounded by your inner circle. But we want you to take all you know about these off days, and push it a little further.

For those that spend a day or more outside the city, you can catch up with a previous article on all the camping essentials you’ll need, and you’ll be right as rain (without actual rain of course) for your holiday adventure.

If you need a few ideas on what to do while you are out there, we’ve also got a host of camping activities to spice things up. Have you ever played capture the flag in the Kuwait desert? Or gone geocaching? The rules and everything else you’ll need is mentioned in the article, so just pick what works best for your group. Easy. Peasy.
For the city people, we know you love your DIY. You have your outfit picked out and you’re ready to celebrate, you know the drill, you’re a pro. So how to up the style element for those Insta-worthy shots? Time to turn your car into a likefest. Get it for the Gram. We have already noticed the availability of Kuwaiti flag stickers that people use to decal their windows, and we like them, so we are going to plunk a few more ideas into the DIY basket this year.

Go next-level with your car by personalising your exterior. Just remember (and this is super important), to wash and dry your car thoroughly before adding anything to the surface. Dirt and grime, even dust should be free from the area of contact.

Make your own stickers. Contact paper is a readily available tool that you can do pretty much anything you could imagine with. The paper comes with a self-adhesive back, so you can draw or paint or color in a country flag, a cheerful phrase, geometric shapes on the front, and stick it on the side of the car or right on the glass. Just be sure to not block any parts of the front or rear window in any way that means degrading your visual integrity.

Use washable paint. Several versions of this kind of paint are available on the market. There are some that come out of paint cans and others that are offered in spray paint form. To use these, decide what you are going for (this is where your group gets together to dream-up ideas), cover the area that you won’t be painting using tape and cardboard, or paper, then spray or paint over the exposed parts. Remove the covered spots, and you are ready to cruise.

For all the above, be sure to follow the instructions. Most of these kinds of paint will wash away on their own during a storm, otherwise a powerwash will get it clean off the car body. And if anything on the label doesn’t say “washable,” just put it back on the rack.

The limit is really just down to your imagination, and, well, the surface area of your car. Maybe it’s time to take the SUV out, and turn it into everything awesome you can think of.
And just go slow so everyone can snap a picture.
